What have been your experiences of civility, and its opposite, in relation to hospitality? 

Most training courses in hospitality, and in tourism, do not include true civility as a core subject.  They may include fake friendliness in marketing practices instead.

Private, voluntary hospitality is often associated with genuine civility, though not necessarily, especially when visitors outstay their welcome.
