Loyalty

People believing they are owed loyalty as a one-way commitment are emotionally insecure and egotistical.

Emotional insecurity may especially apply to egotists with testicles even though not all egotists have testicles, of course.

All egotists do express hubris, even when attempting to hide the fact.

Egotists destroy democracies.  They also prevent democracies from developing.
