Justice is not a project.  It is an expression of love.

Predatory persons are incapable of the empathy associated with the love of justice.

Influential bullies, regardless of their fame or income, usually feel the need to protect themselves, and possibly the people they claim to love, from the aggressive minions of other influential bullies.

Justice arises through real love, like peace and civility and truth, not through industry.

Perhaps you think justice is a luxury.

Perhaps you think civility, peace and truth are luxuries.

Perhaps you think love is an industry.

Yet many activities, whether related to business or not, require good management.

The healthy expression of love is associated with the comfortable, the soothing, and other enjoyments and pleasures in life.  It involves an awareness of suffering and a desire to alleviate it.

Love includes the provision of safety, security and peace, including peace of mind.

The healthy expression of politics is associated with the sensitive expression of truth, particularly truth about the absence of love, and the prevalence of neglect, cruelty and deception, including self-deception.

Unlike charity, which is meant to be one of many healthy expressions of love, genuine philanthropy involves both the expression of love in healthy ways and the expression of politics in healthy ways.

If you regard yourself as a philanthropist, how do you combine love and politics in that practice, and what do you achieve by doing so?

A real philanthropist requires several decades to acquire the knowledge, experience, maturity and the other resources with which to combine love and politics in healthy ways. 

Ordinary life is about love.

Politics is not about ordinary life.  It is about addressing the circumstances intruding upon ordinary life, by intentionally restoring ordinariness.

But what is an extraordinary life?

If you have had a life without much love in it, you may have sought comfort through extraordinary experiences rather than ordinary ones. 

If you do not know how to express love, perhaps you are incapable of doing so.  You may have misguidedly sought a career in politics instead, or in one of the professions, or in business, or entertainment.

How do you tell whether an activity is compensatory rather than chosen for reasons of love?

Expressions of politics, like expressions of love, should always be honest.
